Operation Christmas Child 2019

Last week, Eileen Ferguson dropped off 62 shoeboxes that our children packed and put together with the help and financial support of the Congregation. Thanks to Eileen's efforts with the help of the children, we were able to bless twice as many children this Christmas than we have in attendance on a typical Sunday. That's truy amazing! We are the little country church with the Great Big Heart!

11-16-19

Ingle Chapel,

Five special kids, ages 4 to 14 put together 62 Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoeboxes. Through donations and “noisy offerings,” they raised $516.21 for purchasing needed items, including $538 ($9 each box) for shipping.

The worked with great enthusiasm and joy. They definitely learned sharing and that not all children are as fortunate as they are. Included in the lesson materials were videos and stories which were educational and appropriate.

These boxes are given to children all over the world and do impact, positively, a lot of lives.

My donation was time, love, a jar of change, a shopping spree at the dollar store for needed items, and a treat lunch for the group at Dairy Queen.

Thank you to these wonderful children and to the generous, caring adult congregation!

Eileen Ferguson

Blessing Bag Party - Nov 3, 2019

Ingle Chapel came together after church on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 to fill blessing bags to provide to the homeless in our community. Through the donations of food, clothing, and basic amenity items, our church was able to fill and provide 80 blessing bags to the homeless shelter this month. We provided desperately needed items, including hats and gloves to help those in need as the cold weather approaches. Jennifer Rand delivered these bags, and reported that they were all most grateful and touched by our generosity.

Another great example of our Great Big Heart!
